Card Drama

Hey Blogger, long time no talk. :D

I just received my card today, and it was pretty disappointing. My grades in English went down by 2 points. Same with AA. But the most dramatic decrease goes to my Technical Writing grade. It went down by - gasp - 6 POINTS. T.T

Anyway, there are still 2 quarters left to do better. Good luck with me. :)

BTW, advanced Merry Christmas!!! :D

Different Kinds of Girls
Monday, November 9, 2009
9:10 PM
Since my friends already created their Tumblr account, I decided to ride the bandwagon since everyone's talking about it. So yeah, I already have one. :)) Wanna see it? Then go see it. :)) Weh. Haha. Let's do TUMBLR!

Then, upon searching for stuffs to reblog, I found this article on Pia's blog. Since my Tumblr account isn't that exposed as compared to my Blogger account, I decided to post this thing here. Read this, especially you, girl readers, and then decide what kind of girl are you based on these 16 classifications.

DIFFERENT KINDS NG MGA BABAE

1. Pa-Conyo
Yung super vain na kala mo everyday is “foundation day.”

Street hockey, soccer, baseball, etc.

3. Feeling or Illusionaries

4. One of the Boys
Sila yung “ideal bestfriend.” Cowboy.

Na-cucurious ang mga lalaki kung anong meron sa kanila that they keep on looking for more of that person.

6. Man Hater
Sa una, mapagkakamalan mo silang tibo dahil sobra silang “boyish.” Defense mechanism nila yun dahil galit sila sa past experience nila with an EX.

Super freak-out sa kaarteyhan. Awts!

8. Super Friendly
By the word itself, friendly siya sa lahat. Napakabait, napakadaling i-aproach napakalawak ng pang-unawa on things.

Nakakatakot sila painumin kasi nakakahiya sila kasama pag nalasing.

10. Ms. Know-it-All
A good guy can recognize a smart girl.

12. Babaeng Bakla
Tipong laughtrip lagi pag kasama mo.

13. Silent But Deadly
Maria Clara ang dating. Di sila masyadong palakibo or masalita.

Kasi nakakapayat yun, diba?

16. Flirt
In Tagalog, malandi, syota ng bayan. Game!

From the list, I think I fall under One of the Boys, kasi naiintindihan ko ang kaberdehan ng mga kalalakihan, and Babaeng Bakla, kasi baklain ako at Flexible, kasi nakarating na ako ng Rockwell at Divisoria. :)) HAHAHA. What do you think? Where do I fall under? And how about you? What kind of girl do you think you are?

Let's Get Down to Business!

I'm sure that line will forever be in the hearts of Ma'am Palisoc's students last school year.

Yes, I'm referring to our batch. As our project in MAPEH, our class (I was in II-Thales then) had to present a stage play of Mulan - yes, with all those singing, dancing, and the like. It may be the most tiring thing we've done as a class, yet it was the happiest and most unforgettable.

I can still remember how we polished everything - from the props and costume to our very roles in the play. I actually still can't believe (yes, up to now) the fact that I was chosen to portray Mulan's mother, Fa Li. For one thing, I don't even look like Chinese. Who knows, that might just be the start of my career as a stage actress (like WTF?!). Anyway, I say it was the greatest role I have ever portrayed in a big presentation (having to play a mom of the lead character is fun; I can feel that I have the potential to become a good mother in the future, HAHAHA LOLs just kidding), yet it was also the one with the shortest exposure. I was only able to say, "Of all days to be late, why now? I should have prayed to the ancestors for luck!" (that was the part where Mulan's, uh, make-up artist asked me where the hell is my daughter) and "There, you're readeehh!!!" (that's um, the part where I saw my daughter all dressed-up for the matchmaker). Nevertheless, those were the most fulfilling lines I have ever said in my whole career as a budding actress. *sobs*

Though we only placed second (and we were supposed to be first if not for our demerits, bummer. Haha, peace Kepler), I still say we were the best, because we worked hard for it, and it was a team effort to make everything flow smoothly. I can still remember the days where everyone would practice in the quadrangle - hey, I mean everyone. Yes, even those pesky, hard-headed classmates of mine - you won't be able to believe you can get to sing them songs from a Disney movie, whereas all they listen to are songs made by the Jonas Brothers. These were also the reasons why I can't forget those days - we were united by Mulan.

Every time I see the movie on TV via Disney, or by CD, I can't help but sense the feeling of nostalgia creeping up to my systems. The memories always come back whenever I see Mulan singing "Reflection", fighting with the Huns, or getting dressed for the matchmaker (most especially). I guess I really miss those days with my classmates. I miss you, Thales pips. :(

Speaking of going down to business, I must go down to mine. :)) We'll be having our 2nd periodic test and I haven't studied for any subject yet, except Trigonometry, my favorite subject. :| Damn, why can't cosines, sines and all those other freaking functions be good to me, just for once?! Aarrggh. I loved you, Trigonometry, but I guess you don't love me back, so let's call it OVER. :| :))

I'm getting crazy. I still have a Chem project to make. Ciao for now.

*Mister, I'll make a man out of you!* :)

Strengthening Linkages

12:00 PM
I woke up earlier than my usual wake-up time - by 4 AM I was already up from bed. The reason behind this slight change of schedule was my laziness. I wasn't able to prepare the stuffs I need because of my stupid (but worthy) decision of playing and leveling up my character in Mafia Wars. Hey, atleast I reached level 33! 2 more levels and I'm on my way to Cuba, like oh my gosh. 8)

Anyway, after preparing my stuffs - 2 pairs of clothes, shorts for the field demo, leggings (I don't know why the hell did I bring this), black pants, slippers and flats (which made me look like I'm running away from home), my bag was bulky. I was all set for the fun that awaited that day.

A thanksgiving mass started the celebration of the event. After the mass, our section went to our homeroom to prepare for the field demonstration. Too bad we weren't able to see the other year levels' presentation and the whole program 'cause we did a lot of preparations for our dance. In our classroom, the props and our outfit were distributed - our headdress, the cool t-shirt (HAYSKUL KA NGA, MASCI KA BA? OMG so cool! And it comes in purple! Cooler.), and this wood we put in our hands for the clapping part. After that, we went to the Bordner Building for the face paint and the like. I was scared when I found out we'll be using Boysen paint for the body paint. But then, I gave it a go. And you know what, it actually felt good - actually, I would rather call it relaxing. Hahaha. Whatever. Credits to Tiffany Uy for putting body paint on my legs!

Then, for the face paint, we didn't use paint, actually. We used Chinese powder for that. It's more of chalk, actually. Our section decided to have the alibata of B on our left cheek and 2 horizontal lines on the right. Next, I dropped my whole two hands on white paint, which actually felt great, hahaha. I was like playing. Hahahaha.

I look like a "datu" of a tribe, like WTH. :))

After the preparations, we were all set to perform.

After minutes of waiting in line to dance, here comes...

OUR FIELD DEMO!
Tres! \m/

Gosh, it was the performance of our lives. I didn't know it would be that good, with the costume and all. I watched Bernadette's video of our dance and we were so cool, I tell you. Wait for our dance to be uploaded in YouTube and be amazed, hahaha. *yobong*

After our dance, we went back to clean ourselves and remove the paint. It was fun getting all wet with your batch mates, hahaha. Thanks to Hanna Abejo for helping me. After removing the paint, we went back to our room and I changed clothes. I didn't remove the purple shirt 'cause I really loved it, gosh. I put on my black pants and my flats, and I went down to have FUN!

I was quite bored in the quadrangle, considering that I had nobody with me. I couldn't find any Thales people, 'cause they were with their third year secs. My Burbank friends are with their second year sections, so I was kinda alone. I mingled with those people in our Juniors booth, the Handcuff booth, and found a chair to sat on. Then, I saw MJ Navarro and Bea Ebreo on one side of the UCB, and got shocked to see they were handcuffed. Yee!

I love this photo. :)

Suddenly, my hands were grabbed by someone from the Handcuff Booth. Like WTF, who am I supposed to be handcuff with? I found out that I were to be handcuffed with a former classmate. To settle things, both of us paid.

Then, all of a sudden, someone grabbed me out again. It was Brian, and he pulled me out just to lead me in the jail booth. They were putting to jail those people who are smaller than this Elijah guy. WTF. I hate you Brian. I paid 25 to get out. Then, as soon as I went out, I stayed with Bea, MJ and Nour. Then, Brian came again to get me to jail (I forgot the offense), this time with Nour's help. WTF, I forgot Nour's in the varsity (varsity people have the bragging rights to put people to jail). I paid another 25 pesos just to get out. I wasted 50 pesos out of that jail booth. Wow, thank you, Brian and Nour.

Next event was the Boy Band contest. The first group to perform came from the second year, and I developed a liking to one of the members in their band. HAHAHA! Syet, lande. Then came the 4th year boy band. And of course, last was our batch's band, the ATP, 'cause well, as they say, save the best for last. HAHAHA. Anyway, their presentation was wicked cool. Here are shots.

With the special participation of Barney, hahaha.

Last year's Boy Band winner (from the 4th year) also performed after all the contestants showcased their, um, boy band talents and charms.

Then came the Binibining Gandang MaSci contest, the one we had during our batch's Blackout. My gosh, they were all in bras and sexy outfits. Hahaha. They were like, COOL! Sadly, the winners will be announced during the Prom, which is 3 or 4 months away. Dang. Anyway, vote for Christine! Haha. Go Renz!

After the contest, my friends planned to handcuff Nikki and Dwight from IV-Moseley, and fortunately, the plan was successful. Yey!

NiGht/DwiKki is L-O-V-E. :">
Yeehee!

They make a good couple, don't they? Hahahaha. :">

Sadly, it was late when Nikki arrived from McDo, so we weren't able to have them in the marriage booth. Hahaha!

After that, we went home.

Though some parts were boring, I still say I enjoyed the Foundation Day. Happy 46th year, MaSci!

Sustaining the tradition of excellence since 1963. \m/
